Hi there! I’m Selena.
The CEO and founder of Carnation Creative.
I’m a creative, kind, and experienced copywriter with my Bachelors in Business Administration. I’ve got a concentration in management and minor in creative writing too. There are many different mediums I’ve had the opportunity to write like blogs, ads, emails, website landing pages, Facebook posts, LinkedIn posts, video scripts, case studies, and informative product pdfs.
Blogs are what I’m most passionate about because of how powerful, fun, and informative they are. I also really enjoy the science of SEO and seeing how it can help people find just what they’re looking for. In fact, that’s why I love marketing and copywriting so much; they connect people who have a want, need, or problem to the solutions that are perfect for them - i.e. your services and products! And helping people like that feels really, really good.
A few fun things about me to break the ice, and that we may have in common, include that I love dogs, flowers, traveling, coffee, running, and mental health.

Yes. The minimum time commitment for working with me is 6 months. The reason for this is because it takes time to see actual results and changes in performance from blogging. But the good news is that high quality blogs add up and build great SEO, customer trust, and so much more. The results that you will reap for years to come are worth the investment.

I write blogs ranging from 500 - 1,500 words. I find that blogs need to be at least 500 words to effectively communicate a topic.
If you would like a blog over 1,500 words, the price will increase.

Carnation Creative was originally named after my love of flowers, but it goes deeper than that. I love having flowers in my home, my garden, and my life in general. Botanical gardens are my happy place. So far, my top favorites are the Longwood Gardens in Pennsylvania and the Atlanta Botanical Gardens.
As I kept flowers in my home, I noticed that carnations could stay alive far longer than any other flower. Sometimes, they thrive for up to a whole month! That strength and grace is something I admire and wanted to honor with my business.
Carnations also symbolize love, distinction, and fascination. And the flowers are said to get their name from the Greek word for coronation because they were featured in flower crowns.
It is my hope that Carnation Co. makes you, your business, and your brand feel like a carnation. Like royalty, loved, distinct (special), fascinating (admired), graceful, and insanely strong. Because you are.
